Halfblood- Chapter 27
First- ryua.deviantart.com/art/Halfbl…
Previous- ryua.deviantart.com/art/Halfbl…
Next-

Yeah, that's right. Three months later, but it's also three times the length.

I didn't wanna do another lame, short chapter that was all talking, so the Gym Battle happened too!
It was so easy. I totally overprepared. I don't think I used any Potions, or went back to the Centre to heal or anything. Just utter destruction of that Fighting gym.

Aw yeah. I never have to draw Guaril's Spoink ears again.

AND GO

You started your Pokémon journey:

1) At age 10.
2) At age 15
3) After finishing high school.
4) After finishing college.
5) As far back as you can remember; You grew up in the wilds with Pokémon.
6) No idea; You suffered an accident that erased your previous memory.

What? I got a complete education? This is madness!

The weather was:
1) Sunny.
2) Sunny with some clouds.
3) Cloudy.
4) Rainy.
5) Snowy.
6) A natural disaster.

Speaking from experience, I'm gonna go with Fire here. Floods prevent you from moving too much, cause they tend to cut you off from leaving.

You started your journey because:
1) You want to be the very best.
2) You want to catch ‘em all.
3) You want to be a master coordinator.
4) You want to meet many people.
5) You want to discover new Pokémon.
6) You want to explore lost places.

Well, aren't I ambitious?

Your starter Pokémon is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Grumpig. Guaril, nice to see you again?

In the beginning, your starter:
1) Was practically your twin.
2) Became your friend immediately.
3) Liked you.
4) Was wary of you.
5) Disliked you greatly.
6) Tried to kill you.

I always thought we'd get on well.

The first great obstacle of your journey was:
1) A rival battle.
2) A treacherous route.
3) A wild Pokémon attack.
4) A Pokémon gym.
5) A battle with a criminal team member.
6) A sapling.

What? I have a rival?

At this obstacle, the two of you:
1) Triumphed with little resistance.
2) Achieved victory, though it was tough.
3) Won, but just barely.
4) Tied with the opposition.
5) Lost, though you put up a good fight.
6) Failed miserably.

Aw yeah. That's my purple pig buddy! Triumph over all odds!

The second Pokémon you caught is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Electabuzz? Interesting. Never used one of those. You shall be Thor.

Your starter and second Pokémon:
1) Love each other dearly.
2) Are good friends.
3) Get along well enough.
4) Don’t seem to like each other.
5) Ignore each other.
6) Are constantly at each other’s throats.

Didn't know Guaril could be argumentative... Maybe Thor's a real butthead.

When the sun begins to set, you:
1) Set up camp immediately.
2) Make a fire. You need nothing else.
3) Watch the sunset.
4) Keep walking. A lack of sun makes no difference to you.
5) Break into a run, hoping to find shelter before nightfall.
6) Pick up camp. You only travel at night.

Okay then. Hiking in the dark it is.

You pass through civilization:
1) Often enough to keep your electronics charged.
2) At least once a week.
3) If it happens to be on your way.
4) Occasionally, but only for supplies.
5) Rarely, and only on the outskirts.
6) Never.

Makes sense. Can't train when you're living in Pokemon Centers and hanging out with humans.

Your third Pokémon is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Swinub? Never actually got a chance to use one of them before. You shall be Ganon.

The three Pokémon on your team:
1) Work together flawlessly.
2) Cooperate well, but could use some work.
3) Have moments of synergy, though not often.
4) Try their best, yet are on completely different beats.
5) Constantly work against each other.
6) Blame you for their horrible collaboration.

At least they're all eager?

When the going gets tough:
1) Your team pulls through every time.
2) Your starter carries the weight.
3) You come up with a brilliant solution.
4) You win by hax.
5) You win by dumb luck.
6) You get going the opposite direction.

Let's try a different route... Why climb a cliff when there's a path just over there?

Two evolutions have occurred by this point:
1) Starter and 2 evolve.
2) 2 and 3 evolve.
3) 3 and starter evolve.
4) Starter evolves twice
5) 2 evolves twice.
6) 3 evolves twice.

Thor the Electivire and Ganon the Piloswine. I am totally cool with this.

Over time, you find you work best with and mostly train:
1) Grass, Bug, and Poison types.
2) Water, Ice, and Flying types.
3) Fire, Electric, and Fighting types.
4) Ground, Rock, and Steel types.
5) Dark, Ghost, and Psychic types.
6) Normal, Dragon, and Fairy types.

I really do like these types. Of course, I haven't apparently caught any of them yet.

Your fourth Pokémon (type #1) is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Blaziken. Eh. My favourite of the Fighting/Fire starters, but that's not saying much. I dub thee Gene.

Your fifth Pokémon (type #2) is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Natu. Never trained one of them either. You are now Misha.

Your sixth Pokémon (type #3) is:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Sentret. Seriously? Bleh. You are now Timon.

You are offered a trade, and it’s up to you to take it or leave it:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Victini. It's either Ganon or Timon... Ganon. Out you go! Welcome to the team Napoleon!

Another evolution occurs:
1) Starter evolves.
2) 2 evolves.
3) 3 evolves.
4) 4 evolves.
5) 5 evolves.
6) 6 evolves.

Aaaand Timon is now a Furret. I am now much less displeased with him.

Your team:
1) Is your family.
2) Gets jealous whenever you interact with other trainers.
3) Would protect you from anything.
4) Is loyal to you, but mostly aloof.
5) At least tolerates each of their differences by this point.
6) Is a pretty much a big, chaotic mess.

Arceus, you guys. I can't just NEVER talk to other humans.

You travel mostly by:
1) Well-worn footpath.
2) Overgrown trail.
3) Water.
4) Air.
5) Cave.
6) Wilderness.

Um. I guess I get a boat, cause Timon's my only surfer and he's not THAT big.

Another evolution occurs:
1) Starter evolves.
2) 2 evolves.
3) 3 evolves.
4) 4 evolves.
5) 5 evolves.
6) 6 evolves.

Damn it. Guaril cannot evolve, Grumpig's as high as he goes.

Your journey takes you:
1) Not far from home.
2) Across the region.
3) To another region.
4) Across many regions.
5) Around the world.
6) To places unknown.

Well, I guess that's why I travel by sea so often.

The strongest Pokémon you faced in battle on your journey was:
1) SHINY BONUS (use Random Pokémon Generator)
2-6) (use Random Pokémon Generator)

Shiny Luxray. Massive golden electrical lion of doom! That sounds pretty epic.

Another evolution occurs:
1) Starter evolves.
2) 2 evolves.
3) 3 evolves.
4) 4 evolves.
5) 5 evolves.
6) 6 evolves.

Bleeeeeeh. Thor the Electivire can not evolve further either. Why does Misha never evolve? She's so teeny!

The event with the greatest impact on you was:
1) Becoming a Pokémon Champion.
2) The grand evolution of a team member in a dire moment.
3) Finding a hidden landmark of great beauty.
4) Encountering a legendary Pokémon.
5) Having an out-of-body experience in a haunted building.
6) Discovering you’re a child of Mew.

o.O I am unsure how to react to that. I will assume that my teeny and adorable Misha stuck me back where I belonged...

The hardest trial you ever faced was:
1) Fighting your rival to become Champion.
2) Realizing just how much you have to walk and still sticking out this whole journey thing.
3) Being lost for weeks.
4) Assisting in taking down a criminal organization.
5) Losing a Pokémon.
6) Realizing there are way too many Pokémon to ever catch ‘em all.

And that is why I was on the way to become the best, not catch them all.

Your starter:
1) Is your strongest Pokémon and best friend.
2) Is your good friend, but far from the strongest.
3) Is your strongest Pokémon, but emotionally distant.
4) Is about the same as the rest of your team.
5) Stayed behind some point during your journey.
6) Is deceased.

Yeah... I do have a Victini. And an Electivire. But Guaril's just such a nice guy.

And you are now:
1) Gambling all the money you’ve earned in the Celadon Game Corner.
2) Hidden away at the top of Mt. Silver for an indefinite amount of time.
3) Exploring the many islands littered in the oceans surrounding Hoenn.
4) Lost in the Distortion World after a mishap in the ruins at Mt. Coronet.
5) Trolling inexperienced trainers in the Driftveil World Tournament.
6) Reflecting on past decisions beside the monument of Geosenge Town.

Figures. Apparently my team still won't let me talk to people.

The team that saw you to your journey’s end:

Guaril the Grumpig
Thor the Electivire
Gene the Blaziken
Misha the Natu
Timon the Furret
Napoleon the Victini

I am surprisingly pleased by this. Never used any of these except Grumpig before, and even that was because of Nuzlocke rules.

Misha rides on my head as a ball of adorable psychic-hummingbird-fluff

Khalasar Leongasti
So this is what I've spent all day on. I don't even WATCH Game of Thrones, I've only read the first book, and yet... here we are. I'm blaming it all on Aerorwen who did it first here: aerorwen.deviantart.com/art/Ho…

The really interesting thing was figuring out how to turn the half-breed Charlie and his... odd parents into something resembling one of the Great Houses. In the end, I decided to go a different route, obviously. Alright, blurb time go!
(Also, Lilith is 6'3", Charlie is 6'1", and Han is much shorter at 5'9"

-

Lilith is a khal of the Leongastai khalasar. Unlike the more... civilized Houses in the Stormlands, leadership in Leongastai only occasionally follows bloodlines. The only current female khal, Lilith tore a bloody path through her people's enemies, and occasionally her more determined clanmates to gain her current position.

The only time she came close to actually losing her hold was after her son Charlie was born. She was well respected enough that nobody seriously threatened her leadership during her pregnancy, which was helped by the fact that she could still hit a target with a spear at fifty paces, even when her belly was swollen far enough to no longer see her feet. What people had a problem with was that it became painfully obvious that Lilith had bedded one of her slaves instead of an honorable man.

Han was an herbalist captured in a raid almost three decades ago, and kept alive due to his skills in healing. To say he was happy as a slave would be... stretching things, but he at least found satisfaction in the fact that he could still heal, and was even respected as much as a slave could be, for his abilities. Catching the eye of the fearsome khal did not terribly improve his situation, but he had little to say in the matter.

Still, Charlie grew into a large, sturdy boy, clearly following in his mother's mold, and her ability to still obliterate an enemy kept her in power.  Not terribly dexterous, but more than making up for it in size and strength, Charlie has become a solid warrior in his mother's khalasar, and will likely take over from her when she becomes too old to fight.

Charlie and Han have as friendly a relationship as it is possible for a slave and warrior to possess. Lilith has never explicitly told Charlie that Han is his father, but there is enough resemblance between them to make it fairly obvious. Han's quality of live HAS improved since his son became old enough to have some standing in the clan as a warrior; enough people know Charlie favors the old healer slave to either ignore or treat him well. Charlie is gentle as Leongastai go, mostly because of his father's influence. He manages to turn this to his advantage, gaining loyalty through other methods than simply being the strongest warrior.

The Leongastai specialize in using Chestnaught carapaces that have been trimmed and carved into shields, making them equal parts weapon and defense. Only the strongest of warriors may wield them, and if you did not kill the creature yourself, the two smallest spikes are broken off before you are allowed to use it. Spears and maces are more common than swords in this khalasar, and whips are not uncommon. Charlie's actually the best in the clan with his whips, one with a weighted tip, and the other sharpened to cut. He doesn't use them on the slaves; he claims it's to keep them unsullied, but he really prefers not to strike non-combatants.
